These Shows Tried To Rip Off Man V. Food And Failed

Few food shows have inspired a following quite like "Man v. Food." Originally hosted by Adam Richman, the super-successful series helped bring the idea of impossible-seeming food challenges into the mainstream.

The concept couldn’t be simpler – it’s all right there in the title. It’s no surprise that other productions took inspiration and embarked on their own adventures against formidable foods. "Chefs vs. City" enlisted a squad of eaters for each episode to take on regional food challenges, while "Carnival Eats" took its host around the fair food circuit, taking on some of the world’s most wild dishes.

But many fans will tell you there’s no replacement for the original. Here’s how these shows tried to rip off "Man V. Food" and failed.
