The real quiche Lorraine recipe!

This simple recipe will please the whole family for a homemade dinner! The pie dough is quick to make (only it needs a little rest). Nowadays the dough is made with butter only but before it was butter + animal fat (bacon in English). It’s much better with the second option, it’s lighter. You can also pre-bake the pie crust, it’s according to your tastes. A tart made with eggs, cream and bacon, a real delight! Eat hot or cold! Good tasting !


Ingredients :
250 g of flour (1 cups + ½ cup + 1 tbsp)
80 g soft butter (¼ cup + 2 tbsp)
45 g lard (3 tbsp + 1 tsp)
150ml water (½ cup + 2 tbsp) + 5g salt
250 g of bacon
3 eggs + 1 egg yolk
Salt and pepper
400 ml of heavy cream (1 cups + ½ cup + 3 tbsp heavy cream)
