The BETTER Sweet and Sour Chicken! | Three Flavoured Chicken Stir Fry | Ayam Tiga Rasa

OPEN for ingredients! Today we’re making one of my fave Thai-Malaysian stir fries: Three Flavoured Chicken, also known as Ayam Tiga Rasa also known as the better sweet and sour chicken. Super easy, super quick, super saucy, so let’s go.



  • 300g Chicken, cubed
    • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Medium Onion, cubed
  • 1/2 Red Capsicum, cubed
  • 1/2 Green Capsicum, cubed

  • 1/2 Carrot, sliced
  • 2 tbsps Dried Chilli Paste (optional)
  • Sauce bowl:
    • 2 tbsps Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce*
    • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste or 2 tbsps Tomato Ketchup

    • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
    • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
    • 2-3 tbsps of Water

*Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce is, well, sweet. If using regular Chilli Sauce or Sriracha, add sugar for the sweetness.
