Snickerdoodle Cookies Recipe: Easy and Soft

The best snickerdoodle cookies recipe that is so soft and easy to make at home. In this video, I will show you how to make snickerdoodle cookies. These are simple cookies made with flour, butter, egg, sugar, and some flavoring such as vanilla.

Ingredients
• 3 cups of all-purpose flour
• 2 cups of unsalted butter
• 1 and ¼ cup of granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda
• ½ teaspoon of cream of tartar
• ½ salt
• ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• 2 teaspoons of vanilla
For the toppings
• 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
• 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar

How to Make Snickerdoodle:
You can preheat your oven first to 350F, line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
1. In a medium-sized bowl, sieve in 3 cups of all-purpose flour, to that add 1 tsp of cream of tartar add 1 tsp of baking soda, ½ tsp of salt, and ¼ tsp of ground cinnamon, and whisk to combine nicely then set aside.
2. In another bowl, combine 2 cups of soft butter with 1 and ¼ cups of sugar and beat for a couple of minutes until you have a pale white creamy mixture.
3. Go ahead and add in 2 eggs, one at a time, and 2 tsp of pure vanilla, and beat again until well combined and smooth.
4. Slowly pour the dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix well with a spatula to incorporate, you can add that in batches and mix as you go. Once you have a smooth batter keep the bowl in the freezer for 1 hr. to rest the batter, this will allow the mixture to firm up and also help in easy shaping.
5. Just before you take the bowl out of the freezer, make the toppings for the snickerdoodles by simply combining 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon with 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar and mix to combine.
6. Remove the dough from the freezer, use a tablespoon or an ice cream scoop to fetch the dough, and roll it in your palms to form a small ball.
7. Dip it into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and roll to coat, place on the baking sheet, and then repeat with the remaining batter until you are done. Make sure to arrange each cookie to be about 3 inches apart so they don’t stick together while in the oven.
8. When you are done with all the balls, you c an lightly press them down with the back of a spoon to help flatten them a bit.
9. Bake your snickerdoodles in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or once you notice a slightly golden color on the edges, take it out it will continue cooking as it cools. Let these cool for 10 minutes before serving.
