Don't Believe This PayDay Candy Bar Rumor

You may look at the standard PayDay bar and think, "Hey, where’s the chocolate?" But fans of this caramel-and-peanut bar from Hershey’s absolutely adore it. It’s been around since all the way back in 1932 and came under the Hershey umbrella in 1996. And, yes, there was eventually a chocolate-covered version.

With that long history, PayDay has earned a good amount of brand recognition. So, why, then were online rumormongers falsely claiming that Hershey was going to have to change PayDay’s name? There’s a lot to it, and it’s ironic in ways the originators of the rumor may not even understand. In short, don’t believe this PayDay candy bar rumor.
