Hey foodies! This Chili recipe is my take on the Tex-Mex classic. Feel free to adjust flavours to suit your palate 😁

Here’s the Perfect Cornbread to go with this Chili:

INGREDIENTS for the Chili:

1 lb ground beef (ideally 80% lean 20% fat)

1 tbsp Canola oil

Seasoned Salt to taste

Black pepper

Step 2.

Oil as needed

1 onion diced or minced

1 stalk celery, diced

Diced Bell peppers as desired

Spices/herbs and sugar mixed:

2 tsps paprika

2 tsps Smoked Paprika

1 tbsp cumin

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp ground Chipotle pepper

1/2 – 1 tsp cayenne pepper

2 tsps or more Chili powder

3 tsps garlic powder

2 tsps onion powder (more or less)

1/2 – 1 tsp oregano

1 – 2 tbsps brown sugar

4 cloves garlic minced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 cup Crushed tomatoes

1 cup Fire roasted tomato sauce

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup Chicken Broth

2 – 4 cups of Beef Broth

1 – 2 cups cooked kidney beans

Fresh thyme leaves, minced(added of cam)

More seasoned salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Tips:

If you don’t have all these spices, you may use taco seasoning

If you have no broth, use the seasoning from Ramen noodle packets. Just stir them into some water 😁

Another way to get additional flavour is adding a tiny bit of smoky bbq sauce.

Adding some pureed Chipotle in Adobo sauce will also kick up the flavour and heat a notch.

Never had such a creamy cake! Everyone will ask you for the recipe!
