This sponge sheet I have used for strawberry fraisier Cake…..
5 Egg yolks
50gms Sugar for yolks
90gms Cake flour
2gms Baking powder
50gms Vegetable oil
5 Egg whites
70gms Sugar for egg whites
Take egg yolks and add salt.
Add sugar and mix until light and foamy. Its volume should increase.
Now take egg whites. Add sugar slowly in three parts to make meringue.
It should form a stiff peak. Meringue is very important.
Now add egg yolks mixture in meringue.
Slowly sift in flour and baking powder.
Mix until you don’t see any flour.
Take oil and add little cake batter to it and mix, pour back this mixture to rest of the cake batter.
You can add vanilla if you prefer.
Pour batter in a baking pan.
Bake at 170°C for about 39 minutes.
Always check your cake with a knife or toothpick.
If it comes out clean it’s ready.
You can use these cake sheets for various recipes.
